Pastor Richard's reflection
In verses 22-25 God says through St Paul
This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.”  The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone,  but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.  He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification. 

In this reading we are encouraged to see that:
  • God's approach of working through faith rather the law to make us righteous is consistent
  • Our righteousness is because of our belief in Jesus
  • Jesus died for all our sins
  • And it is because of the actions of Jesus we are made righteous

Day 2: Romans 1:8-17

Pastor Richard's reflection In verses 8-17 God says through St Paul For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
